My passion for photography began in 1995 whilst travelling through France, Italy, Greece and Turkey. Shortly afterwards I went to Plymouth College of Art, where I completed a foundation in Lens-Based Media and an HND in Media Production. A second gap year took me to Taiwan to teach English, an incredibly beautiful country that gave me the opportunity to create many images. Returning to the UK I studied a BA(hons) in Photo Media & Design Communication, as well as a Professional qualification from the British Institute of Photography.

After working freelance in London for a few years in fashion & portraiture, I returned to the Westcountry to complete a PGCE in post 16 education and am currently course leader for National Diploma Photography at Plymouth College of Art. On top of this I continue to work as a freelance commercial and wedding/portrait photographer, as well as continuing to develop several fine art based projects.

My love for the Devon & Cornwall coastline has always been a major inspiration, having been an avid surfer since 1989. This is reflected in my seascape work which has sold very well, most notably to Vickery Holman Property Consultants for their Plymouth offices. Some of these images were also featured in the Autumn 2007 edition of Art in Devon magazine, along with an article titled 'Ways with Water.'
